Call for Speakers and Poster Presenters

We have issued a Call for Abstracts for Oral Platform and Poster Presentations for the 26th Florida Remediation Conference (FRC 2020).

Oral Platform and Poster Session Format

FRC 2020 Oral Platform Sessions have been designed to allow for three (3) 30 minute speaking slots.  We suggest presenters plan for a 20 minute talk and allow 10 minutes for Q&A.


For Poster presentations, posters will be on display for the entire event with a Poster Reception to be held on Thursday, November 5th in the exhibit hall.

Submission Deadline: June 1, 2020.

Presenter Registration Policy:

We ask all speakers and poster presenters to consider paying the full conference registration fee since we are a 501(c)(3) non-profit and this is our main fund raising event for fostering the remediation and redevelopment profession. Having said that, if a speaker cannot pay the full registration we have established a fee of $127 to cover our direct costs. In the event the speaker is coming in to talk and then leave, we will waive the fee.

Poster Instructions

Poster Session:

Thursday, November 5, 2020 from 5:00 pm – 6:30 pm

Session will take place in the Exhibit Hall

Poster Set Up:

Poster Presenters are requested to bring their posters to FRC 2020. The posters will be set up in a portion of the exhibit hall.


Set up is between and 1:00 pm. The boards in the room will have abstract titles tacked to them that correspond to the assigned poster session.


Attendees will be able to view posters throughout the Conference. Poster Presenters are requested to stand in front of their poster during the Poster Session which will take place on from 5 pm to 6:30 pm on Thursday, November 5th.

Poster Take Down:

Posters Presenters will take down their poster at the conclusion of FRC 2020.


(NOTE: FRC is not responsible for poster materials not taken down by Poster Presenters at the conclusion of the Conference.)

Preparation Instructions:

  • Posters are to be prepared in English.
  • The average viewing distance for posters will be approximately 3 feet (1.0 m) so it will be important to use a text size that will be legible from this distance.
  • Posters should generally present a title, abstract, introduction, methodology, results, and conclusions. Each section should have an appropriate heading. Graphs, charts, tables and illustrations should be included whenever possible.
  • The size of your poster needs to be able to fit in an area 44” wide by 44” high.
  • The mounting surface of the poster fixture is a charcoal grey polyweave material. Tacks will be provided to be used for mounting posters.
